Sights and sounds - What you can do

You can use Cinnaminta to help someone by making a unique recording of the sights and sounds of an item or location which you can get to but which they cannot easily visit. You can submit you own requests for multi-media recordings.

In the sights and sounds category you can:

• browse the request listings and offer to make a multi-media recording for someone;
• add your own add your own request for a recording, e.g. background sounds for relaxation or special interests, or of a particular item, e.g. town clock chiming;
• search the member profiles to find a member who can reach the item or location to provide a recording for your request(which might be anywhere around the world); and
• use the private members message service to discuss preferences with the recorder to achieve a unique and very personal recording, or
• upload your own recordings (uses the Request form - select 'I want to read/perform/deliver this request myself').

You can also search the recording request listings to see what other people would like to have recorded or browse another category using the links in the right hand margin of this page.

Cinnaminta provides facilities for a multi-media recording (video, photos or sound) of the recording event to be shared, free, with the requester, the reader, their friends and family or, if appropriate, the whole world.

Perhaps in addition to the recording of the sights and sounds you also need a reading of some related text. If so, you can browse the reading categories using the links in the right hand margin of this page to find a suitable forum for a request.

• see what other people have recorded; and
• see how other people have made recordings.
