The internet has a diverse population of users and is an extraordinary environment in which there is freedom to reach out, connect, discover and develop through shared writing and reading out aloud. This is the spark which became the essence of Cinnaminta - to go beyond simply placing your own work on the internet and waiting for comments by requesting others to interpret and perform your work; to use the opportunity to share and develop through the two-way experience.

Opening up your writing for interpretation by others can be a powerful inspiration for development and a liberating voyage of discovery. Better than simple peer review, the reviewers perform the work. You could obtain a unique insight into how your writing is viewed by others.

You might ask someone to:

• whisper to valleys or shout at traffic, bless flowers or curse aeroplanes;
• celebrate bicycles or bemoan road rage, rant at politicians or vilify litter droppers; or even,
• defy the tides or belittle huge waterfalls.

The choice is entirely yours.

Through Cinnaminta you will become an active part of a global expression of humanity and discover the joy of writing and reading out aloud and being an active member of a global community. You will be able to reach out, connect, share, and develop with other cultures around the world. You will be able to cross closed borders and cultural divides as a virtual traveller with minimal environmental impact.

The Cinnaminta reading out aloud services are provided by the members for the members. When a few of your compositions have been read out and you have seen the recordings, think how exciting it would be for somebody else if you could provide a reading for them in one of the places that you can get to and to do so in your own style.

We expect that people will find all sort of ways to use the Cinnaminta services, such as group readings, singing, dancing, speech synthesisers, mime, translations, performance art and plenty more that we have not thought of. The Cinnaminta team are looking forwards to seeing how the Intent community will use Cinnaminta. We hope that you will enjoy the experience but have to admit that we don't know quite where it will lead. The possibilities appear endless - how will you "leave no footprints, only vibrations"?
