The Cinnaminta reading out aloud and petitions services are provided by the members for the members. You can search the member's profiles to find a suitable reader for your purposes and use the private members message service to discuss and develop the performance style with the reader and, possibly, develop the text to achieve a unique and very personal performance or petition delivery.

As a professional campaigner you will be able to use the Cinnaminta professional campaign services to develop internet based support systems for your campaign.

Reading out aloud

Cinnaminta is a free online service which enables you to request your poems, original writing, celebrations, acts of remembrance, prayers, messages or anything else to be read out aloud in places around the world which are special for you but which you cannot easily visit.

Cinnaminta brings together people who would like their poems, original writing, celebrations, acts of remembrance, prayers, messages or anything else to be read out aloud in a special place with the people in those special places who like to perform readings.

Cinnaminta provides facilities for a multi-media recording of the reading or performance to be shared, free, with friends and family or, if appropriate, the whole world.

You can search the requests to see what other people would like to have read out aloud.

You can search the public reading out aloud archive to:

  • see what other people have written and read out aloud; and
  • see how other people have performed readings.

You might like to follow through the pictorial quick tour to see how the members work together across the internet to turn a request into a performance and then deliver it.

To find out more, following these links to the 'what you can do' sections of the main reading categories:

Perhaps rather than a reading you might just need a long recording of the sights and sounds of a special location or an event such as the tide coming in on a shingle beach or the wind blowing leaves from trees in the autumn.

The Cinnaminta reading out aloud services are provided by the members for the members. When a few of your compositions have been read out and you have seen the recordings, think how exciting it would be for somebody else if you could provide a reading for them in one of the special places that you can get to.

Petitions

The Cinnaminta petition service enables you to support an online petition, start your own petition or offer to deliver a petition for somebody else. Cinnaminta provides a free facility for the whole world to see the multi-media recording of the delivery of the petition statement.

Cinnaminta brings together the global network of people who want to change things with the people who can get the message to the right people in the right place.

As an internet petitioner you will be able to apply pressure with all the collective force of the internet to help to bring about change for the better.

In the campaigns and petitions section you can:

  • search the petitions listings to see what petitions have been started and find a petition to support;
  • start your own petition; or
  • offer to deliver a petition statement.

Multi-media recordings of petitions are placed in the public petitions archive to be shared with the whole world. You will be alerted when the recording of the delivery of a petition that you started or signed up to is uploaded to the archive.

You can search the public petitions archive to see how other people have delivered petitions.

Internet campaigns

Cinnaminta can also provide professional internet based campaign support services for professional campaigners, lobbyists, action groups, non-governmental organisations and charities who would like to go beyond a simple petition.

If you are a campaigner you can contact Cinnaminta to discuss how Cinnaminta could help with Internet based support systems for your campaign.

The Cinnaminta global community

By taking part in Cinnaminta you will become an active part of a global expression of humanity and discover the joy of writing and reading out aloud and being an active member of your community. You will be able to reach out, connect, share, and develop with other cultures around the world. You will be able to cross closed borders and cultural divides as a virtual traveller with minimal environmental impact.

The Cinnaminta Reading out aloud services are provided by the members for the members. We expect that people will find all sort of ways to use the Cinnaminta services, such as group readings, singing, dancing, speech synthesizers, mime, translations, performance art and plenty more that we have not thought of.

The Cinnaminta team are looking forwards to seeing how Cinnaminta will develop. We hope that you will enjoy the experience but have to admit that we don't know quite where it will lead.

The possibilities appear endless - how will you 'leave no footprints, only vibrations'?

We would welcome any suggestions for ways in which we can improve the service to support your ideas for co-operative communication through original writing and reading out aloud.
